2. Calculate Total RVU

The formula to calculate the total RVU is:

Total RVU=(wRVU×GPCI for Work)+(peRVU

×

GPCI for Practice Expense)+(mpRVU×GPCI for Malpractice)

This formula combines the weighted RVUs for each component, adjusted by the respective GPCI factors.

3. Calculate Payment Amount

The formula to calculate the payment amount is:

Payment Amount=Total RVU×Conversion Factor

This formula multiplies the total RVU by the conversion factor to determine the final payment amount.

Step-by-Step Calculation:

Calculate Total RVU:

Total RVU=(3.0×1.0)+(2.0×1.0)+(0.5×1.0)

Total RVU=3.0+2.0+0.5=5.5

Calculate Payment Amount:

Payment Amount=5.5×36.0896

Payment Amount=198.4928

So, the payment amount is $198.49.
